The Innovation Law Center (ILC) provides prior art, regulatory compliance, and market research, education, and information useful for assessing the commercialization prospects of a new technology. NYSTAR, the New York Science, Technology, and Innovation division of Empire State Development is the primary funding source for the NYS Science and Technology Law Center at the ILC.  New York State offers resources designed to enable new and existing businesses to become more competitive through the use of innovative technologies. Empire State Development's Division of Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR) programs and centers emphasize the importance of working with industry as a way to leverage New York State’s technology strengths to produce new products and promote economic development.
